I’m Teresa Sutherland, co-principal and director of West Coast Legal, one of the leading boutique Family Law firms in Perth. I have a Bachelor of Laws degree from South Africa and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in February 2016, after I completed my Bachelor of Laws equivalence studies at Edith Cowan University. I joined West Coast Legal in February 2016. Since my admission, I have practiced exclusively in Family Law and accrued extensive experience in all areas of Family Law, with a particular interest in both simple and complex property settlement matters. I am passionate about resolving my clients’ matters in a supportive and collaborative manner to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Family Law can be stressful and that is why I believe in partnering with my client to resolve their matter with compassion and diligence. I focus on mediation rather than litigation as it is more cost effective and less stressful. However, should a matter call for it and require Court intervention, I will be right there alongside you. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community and spending quality time with family, friends and my Labrador, Bailey.
